HANDS-ON-LABS

Practical training in core disciplines

Fully equipped labs for mechanics, manufacturing, thermal systems, dynamics, and material science experiments.

Heat & Energy

Thermal Lab – I & II

This lab features single and multi-cylinder diesel and petrol engines, boilers, gas analyzers, wind tunnels, and refrigeration units. It enables students to study thermodynamic principles, heat transfer mechanisms, and power plant engineering applications practically.

Motion Mechanics

Dynamics Laboratory

Equipped with machines to test CAM mechanisms, governor operations, balancing systems, and gyroscopic motion, this lab helps students understand vibrations, rotational dynamics, inertia measurements, and real-time motion analysis used in mechanical design and control.

Flow Analysis

Fluid Mechanics and Machinery Laboratory

This lab includes Pelton, Francis, and Kaplan turbines, different pumps, and flow measuring devices. It provides practical exposure to hydraulic machines, fluid flow characteristics, and energy transfer mechanisms in various engineering applications.

Production Techniques

Manufacturing Technology Laboratory

Fitted with industrial machines like lathes, drilling, milling, slotting, shaping, and grinding machines, this lab trains students in material removal processes, surface finishing techniques, and manufacturing precision components for real-world mechanical applications.

Material Testing

Strength of Materials Laboratory

Students use universal testing, compression, and hardness testing machines to analyze the behavior of materials under stress. It helps determine structural integrity, material selection, and quality assurance needed in engineering design and fabrication.

Design Simulation

CAD Laboratory

Equipped with modern computer systems and software like AutoCAD, Solid Edge, and ANSYS, this lab teaches students how to digitally model, simulate, and optimize mechanical components through computer-aided design and analysis processes.

Hands-on Practice

Workshops

The workshop consists of units like carpentry, fitting, welding, sheet metal, and foundry. It gives students practical training in basic mechanical skills essential for hands-on engineering applications and prototype development in industrial environments.
