Geotechnical Engineering Lab

The lab includes triaxial, consolidation, permeability, and direct shear testing equipment. Field testing tools like plate load test, auger boring, and standard penetration test support soil analysis and foundation engineering studies.

Road Material Analysis

Highway Engineering Lab

This lab offers equipment for testing soil, bitumen, and aggregates. Instruments include ductility, penetration, and softening point apparatus, Los Angeles abrasion machine, aggregate impact tester, and CBR equipment for pavement and material evaluation.

Surveying Lab

This lab provides testing tools like Vicat’s apparatus, compression testing machine, Vee Bee consistometer, and accelerated curing tank. It focuses on analyzing the properties, strength, and performance of various concrete mixes.

Material Strength Testing

Mechanics of Materials Lab

The lab is equipped with Universal Testing Machine, Torsion Testing Machine, Impact Tester, and Hardness Tester. It supports the study of stress-strain behavior and material strength under different loading conditions.

Spatial Data Analysis

Geo Informatics Lab

Outfitted with GPS tools and software like ArcGIS, ArcView, ERDAS Imagine, and Leica Photogrammetry Suite, this lab facilitates mapping, remote sensing, spatial data analysis, and project-based geoinformatics applications.

Design & Drafting Software

CAD Laboratory

The lab features the latest design and structural software including AutoCAD 2014, STAAD Pro V8i, MxRoad, and Autoplotter. Students learn 2D/3D drafting, structural analysis, and road design through hands-on training.

Pollution Control Testing

Environmental Engineering Laboratory

This lab supports testing and analysis of water, wastewater, and air quality. Major equipment includes BOD incubator, jar test apparatus, air sampler, conductivity meter, muffle furnace, magnetic stirrer, suction pump, and reflux unit.
